Originating from St. Julie’s foundations in France and Belgium, her vision has spread across the globe and you can find the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur working in numerous regions of the world today. Today our Sisters are located in North America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Our SNDBC Sisters are ministering in Congo (DRC), Coordinating health services, rural development, humanitarian assistance, and agricultural training for the Diocese of Kisantu.
Our SNDBC Sisters are ministering in Brazil, being with, praying with, and working with the people of the Amazon region who are struggling to maintain their land and culture.

The Sister Mary Margarent Pignone, SNDdeN Media CenterNotre Dame St Peter’s School, Kroonstad, South Africa History The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (SNDdeN) were invited by the then Ecclesiastical Administrator of the region, to Kroonstad, Free State Province, South Africa in 1907, to open a “boarding school for young ladies”. The school grew in
Anapu, Brazil: The farmers plan to restore the land’s production to food crops and orchards and replant species of the forest trees.
A farm near Kisantu: We train women and adolescents in entrepreneurial skills that will help them provide for themselves and their families.
